Professors from ESCE/IPS attended the 1st edition of IRW

From May 2nd to 5th, the School of Business Administration attended the 1st edition of the International Research Week (IRW) held by the Hochshule Harz of Applied Sciences and Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences.

In an intense week of workshops, exchanges and collaborations, the first edition of IRW focused on the theme of global challenges and how these can be addressed together for a fruitful solution for society.

For the development of this issue by the participants, it was chosen to analyze it according to four main topics: Health, Sustainability, Digitalization, and Mobility. In addition to these, the European funding policy and strategy for research projects was also addressed, indicating funding opportunities within the framework of existing funds.

Germany, Denmark, Spain, Holland and Portugal were the five countries that were represented, through several teachers and researchers, in this interdisciplinary consortium. Thus, from ESCE/IPS were the professors Carlos Batista, Dulce Matos and João Nabais.

The event had the special participation of the speakers Helene-Olesja Betuch (Representative of the State of Saxony-Anhalt) and Gert Bikker (Vice-President of Research, Development and Technology Transfer, Project Manager). The program was complemented by a visit to the Open Mobility Lab (OML) and the Ostfalia University Campus in Wolfenbüttel.

In addition to IRW, our professors had the opportunity to visit one of our 3rd year students from the Distribution and Logistics Management Degree, Luís Barros, who is on Erasmus+ Mobility at the Ostfalia University.
